Hi Lizzie–
I LOVE your clothes–I bought 2 skirts at the Traverse City store about 3 weeks ago
Now I’m back home in NY & have lost about 4 pounds (working off MI donuts!)
When I wear my size XL skirt(s), they start to slowly slide down–I’m afraid I’ll have a wardrobe malfunction
Could I do some “home alterations” by taking a pinch on each side of the waist or will this ruin the line of the skirt?
I wish there was a Haystacks store on Long Island where I live.
I’ll just have to visit your store online until next summer when I come back to Traverse City:)

You comment reminded me of a mother who wrote me telling me a story of a child on stage at a school concert who experienced a similar wardrobe malfunction to the one you are worrying about! Children can poke their stomachs out to prevent this, but I think for you the best thing would be to avoid the side seams and take a small tack about 3-4 inches long in the back of the skirt on each side of what would be the back of the skirt. You can stitch it by hand or machine, and do it on the inside, making the tuck a triangular shape, like a dart.
Your clothing line is really great! If you ever want to expand to lower Michigan, I would love to set up a shop in Holly for you. We need “Made in Michigan” products and really great, fun clothing in this neck of the woods. Have a great fall!
Hi Sue! Thanks for all of the positive input and your recent online order! I will keep you in mind if I decide to expand in your area. Our business plan is to expand our stores, but in the meantime, you can continue to order online. I am glad you are enjoying our bias skirts! Thanks for the referrals to others in your area, and continue to visit our site, we update our prints quite often, and will be adding other brands to the site as well. Many thanks!
